Using this directory means accepting what follows. It is short, and the two sections that matter most are the ones about what a skill is and what a badge means.
What this service is
A directory of web skills, which are markdown files of instructions for a browser agent. We store them, review them before publishing, and serve them over a website and an API. That is the whole of it.
A skill is somebody else's content
Most skills here were written by other people: site owners, organisations, and community members. We review a submission for the things a review can catch, which are covered on theverification page. We do not audit behaviour, and we cannot promise a skill works, is current, or does what its description claims.
Read a skill before you let an agent act on it. The permissions and scope are printed above the instructions on every skill page for exactly that reason.
A badge is about identity
A verified badge means we established who published a skill, either because they proved they control the domain or because a curator confirmed the organisation. It is not a safety rating, a quality rating, or an endorsement, and a verified publisher can still write a bad skill.
Submitting
When you submit a skill you are telling us that you wrote it or have the right to publish it, and you are giving us permission to host it, mirror it, serve it over our API, and show it to anyone. You keep whatever rights you had in it. Publishing here does not transfer ownership.
We may decline anything, and we may unpublish anything already here, without owing you a reason. We do give one when we reject a submission, because a rejection you cannot learn from is worse than no answer.
What a skill may not do
Do not submit a skill that works around a site's access controls, defeats content protection, circumvents payment, or tries to steer an agent into acting against the interests of the person using it. Do not submit one that collects credentials or personal data for somewhere it does not belong.
Skills must respect the sites they target. Publishing one for a site that has asked not to be automated is not something we will host.
Using the API
The read API and the MCP server are open, with no key and no quota. Please be sensible: cache what you fetch, respect the cache headers we send, and use thehosts endpoint instead of polling every origin. If usage from one source starts affecting everyone else we will rate limit it, and we would rather tell you first.
Your access token is yours to look after. Anything done with it counts as done by you, so revoke it from your settings if it leaks.
Takedowns
If a skill infringes your rights, misrepresents your site, or should not be here, write to us with the URL and what is wrong. We will look at it. If you operate the site a skill targets, say so, because that moves you to the front of the queue.
No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be available, correct, or fit for a particular purpose, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from using it or from acting on a skill you found here.
Some of these limits cannot be excluded under consumer law in various places, and nothing here is meant to exclude a right you cannot waive.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when these terms change. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version.
